My Painting

My test painting for a series of 3. I'm sending a palette swap of this painting in for an exhibition in Osaka this June. It's with my teacher now, but I'm hoping to get a photo of it soon.

PS Pardon the photo's quality... I really have no idea how to photograph a varnished painting... someone enlighten?

I'm back! Thanks for everyone's support these few months!

@Lorraine: Aw shucks thanks for the compliment! I was planning on photographing some of my other paintings, the good ones at least, as soon as I figure out how to do so without getting the glare from the varnish finish.... I tried taking the photo from the side, at an angle, but it kinda distorted the whole painting while taking care of the glare......

mmm I know what you mean, I found the same problem, the way i do it, is just try every angle imaginable until I get it out and the photo looks the want I want it to, you have to learn to be a contortionist, almost ;) or you can go to adobe photoshop cS-2 or 3, hit the cloning stamp and take another aspect of your photo and clone it on the glare...it would work, that is if you have CS-2 or Cs3...

@Lorraine: oO My only copy of CS2 is on my laptop which can't do anything for nuts... I'm still trying to find the good angle.... Maybe I could take a photo of it in the sunlight instead... Maybe that'll help...

I Tried befor by using spot light in different angle (at least 4) and take photo in different shutter speed and check the result, also in Photoshop cs2 you can find more options to help you.
