Avocado

An unripe Avocado. In Bintan, August marks the avocado season. That's when they harvest the avocado and the price drops while the quality rises manifold.

In June, it's the Durian season. An acquired taste, this fruit, dubbed the "king of fruits" is the favourite of the locals, (most) Singaporeans and Malaysians. Some people might find the smell a bit too pungent and repulsive, but one's gotta try it to believe it.
